The main steps to creating and configuring a vessel file in Vessel Editor are:
• Use the HIPS and SIPS Vessel wizard to enter the parameters for the vessel file, based on the type of data being surveyed. (See New File.)
• Add/remove components and sensors and edit their configuration. (See Configure Components.)
• Add/edit a vessel shape and visually confirm in the 3D Display that all of the sensors have the correct offset to the reference point (RP). (See Create Vessel Shape Outline.)
It is also possible to upgrade a HVF file created in a previous version of Vessel Editor to the current VESSEL format, after which you can check the new file and adjust its configuration as needed. (Upgrade HVF Vessel Files).
