Stopping a Service

 
Manage Active Sessions
Stop a Database
Unregister a Database

When stopping access to a database, there are three possible procedures that may be involved. If you want to disconnect a particular user, the Manage Active Sessions command can be used. If you want to make a database temporarily unavailable to all users, the database can be stopped. If you want to remove a database that will not to be used again, the database can be stopped and then unregistered. Refer to the following topics for information on each procedure:
