CARIS Bathy DataBASE Server : CARIS Bathy DataBASE Server : Managing Database Services : Stopping a Service : Unregister a Database

Unregister a Database

You can also "unregister" or remove a database from a Node Manager. The database will remain intact and will not be deleted, but it will not be displayed in the Database Properties window, nor will it be accessible from BASE Editor. At any time, an unregistered database can be registered to the same, or to another, Node Manager.

There are multiple reasons why a database may need to be unregistered. Two common reasons are:

The database is being moved to another computer.

The database is being deleted from the server.

Any databases you want to unregister should be Stopped first (see Stop a Database).

To unregister a database:

1. Double-click the Database Properties icon.

2. In the Available Databases field, select the database to remove.

3. Select the Unregister Database command.

Menu

Database > Unregister

Pop-up

The selected database is unregistered and removed from the list of available databases.
