The Subset Control panel is displayed when the editor is opened. The top part of the panel lists the various data layers that can be viewed in Subset Editor. When you select one of these layers, the body of the control panel window will display the properties and controls for that data layer.

HIPS Data: This layer controls the properties for sounding selection and display. These are described in:

HIPS Data Layer

The 3D and 2D layers control the display in their respective views.

Reference Surface: This layer controls the properties related to the display of surfaces in the 3D View of Subset Editor.

These are described in Reference Surface properties.

CUBE Hypothesis: This layer controls the display and editing properties related to CUBE data. These are described in CUBE Hypothesis properties.

For more information related to this data, see Hypothesis Editing.

Calibration: This layer controls the display of sensor data and the tools to enable you to resolve navigation latency and transducer mounting offsets and to update the project vessel file. These controls are described in Calibration Layer Properties.

See the Calibration Workflow workflow for the calibration process.

Water Column: This layer contains the controls for loading and unloading WCI data, and filtering by depth, slant range and intensity. These controls are described in Water Column layer.

SeeProcessing Workflow for Water Column Data for more information.

Tracking: This layer controls the properties tracking using for subset tiles. For more information on the controls related to this layer, see Tracking layer.

Procedure

To apply subset controls to data:

1. Select a layer in the Data window.

2. Select a layer or band of the surface from the Select Surface window, if displayed.

3. Set options related to the data layer.

4. Click Load in the bottom of the control page.

5. [Optional] Click Unload to remove the surface from the display.
