Export a raster surface and its metadata to a number of different formats. The output can be a raster surface or a raster image that records the georeferenced information within the file. Metadata files can also be exported as part of a raster surface product.
To export a surface to more than one format simultaneously, a product template must be used. See Export Raster Product: Create a Product Template.

Interface
The Export Raster Product command uses the following dialog box.

Option | Description |
Output | The output format or product template to use for exporting. If the BAG format is selected, the source surface must have an elevation band. |
Components | The components that will be included in the resulting export. This is populated based on the selection in the Output list and will either be the selected format, or the components defined in a product template. 1. Click a component to display its properties in the right side of the dialog box. |
Properties | The properties for the selected component. The available properties will differ based on the selected component. Each time a property is selected, a brief description of the property is displayed below the list of properties. Properties highlighted in red are mandatory. The highlighting will revert to the white background once a value is entered. Attempting to complete the export without defining these properties will cause an error to be displayed. If the BAG format is selected, properties also need to be defined for the BAG Metadata component. |
New Product Template | Open the Create New Product Template dialog box. This tool is used to create product templates, which allow you to export to multiple formats at once using user-defined sets of property values. |
Edit Product Template | Open the Edit Product Template dialog box. This tool is used to edit the currently selected product template. This button is only enabled if a template has been selected in the Output drop-down list. |
Delete Product Template | Delete the currently selected product template. This removes the template from the Output drop-down list and the rasterproducttemplate.xml file. This button is only enabled if a template has been selected in the Output drop-down list. |
Procedure
1. Select a surface in the Layers window.
2. Select the Export Raster Product command.
The Raster Product Export dialog box is displayed.
3. Select a format from the Output drop-down list.
The USGS format supports only Geographic and UTM coordinate systems and a limited number of horizontal datums (NAD27, NAD83, WGS72, and WGS84). If the selected surface references an unsupported coordinate system or datum, the export will fail. UTM data must be in the northern hemisphere to be valid and export successfully to USGS ASCII Grid format. |
Certain applications may not support viewing GDAL JPEG compression due to alpha values. |
4. Select each component in the Components list and complete the necessary properties.
5. Click OK.
The export is started. The Output window will report start and end times for each format exported. If any selected format cannot be exported, that too will be reported in the Output window.
The product output will be saved to the location specified in the properties.
