Edit Information Objects

Edit existing information objects in an S-101 product.

The Parent list shows all information objects in a product. When an information object is selected, the features which are associated to it are listed in the Members tab. Attributes for the information object are in the Attributes tab.

Procedure: Add selections

Add superselected or selected features in the product to an information object.

1. Select a product layer.

2. Select the Edit Information Objects command.

The Edit Information Objects dialog box is displayed.

3. Select a feature or group of features in the product.

4. Select the Edit Information Objects command.

The Edit Information Object dialog box is displayed.

5. Select an information object in the Parent list.

6. Right-click and select either command from the pop-up menu:

Add Superselection to Information Object

Add Selection to Information Object.

The selected features are associated with the information object and listed in the Members tab.

7. Click OK.

Procedure: Copy and paste information objects

Information objects can be made a member of another information object.

1. Select a product layer.

2. Select the Edit Information Objects command.

The Edit Information Objects dialog box is displayed.

3. Select an information object in the Parent list.

4. Right-click and select Copy Information Object Clipboard command from the pop-up menu.

5. Select another information object in the Parent list.

6. Right-click and select Paste Information Object Clipboard command.

The information object is added to Members tab of the selected information object.

7. Click OK.

Procedure: Delete information object

Remove an information object from a product.

1. Select a product layer.

2. Select the Edit Information Objects command.

The Edit Information Objects dialog box is displayed.

3. Select an information object in the Parent list.

4. Right-click and select Delete Information Object from the pop-up menu.

The information object is removed from the Parent list.

5. Click OK.

Procedure: Remove member

Remove a member from an information object.

1. Select a product layer.

2. Select the Edit Information Objects command.

The Edit Information Objects dialog box is displayed.

3. Select a feature in the Members tab.

4. Right-click and select Remove Member from Information Object from the pop-up menu.

5. Click OK.

Procedure: Modify attributes

Modify attributes for an information object.

1. Select a product layer.

2. Select the Edit Information Objects command.

The Edit Information Objects dialog box is displayed.

3. Select the Attributes tab.

4. Select any attribute and change values.

5. Click OK.
