A database dump is an export of the contents of a database in BDB Server to a zip file, similar to a backup. This file can then be copied to another computer, extracted and registered under the Node Manager of that network. Refer to the following topics for information on this procedure.
Like a backup, you also need to perform a backup and restore on your RDBMS in order to have a complete "dump" and extract of the database. Please refer to the following resources for information on backing up and restoring a database in your RDBMS:
• pgAdmin documentation on the Windows Start menu
• http://www.oracle.com/pls/db112/homepage
Further details on administration tasks in the RDBMS are also available upon request from CARIS Customer Service. |
