CARIS Mira AI Connection

Menu

Tools > Options > General > CARIS Mira AI Connection

The CARIS Mira AI1 Connection setting in Tools > Options is used to define the settings for connecting to the CARIS Mira AI. These settings are used by any process that requires a connection to the CARIS Mira AI in order to run, such as the Classify HIPS Noise process.

Users connecting to the CARIS Mira AI are required to register with the service prior to executing the process. This can be done using the CARIS Mira AI Connection dialog box.

The default setting for the connection is Cloud. The Manage your cloud account link can be used to create and/or manage a cloud account. The credentials for this account will be used to access CARIS Mira AI when running a process.

If the Network setting is used, no credentials are required, however, you must have access to a license for the process you are attempting to run, either local or on a license server.

Contact your Sales representative for more information about licensing.

The first time you run a process using the CARIS Mira AI connection with the Cloud setting, the CARIS Mira AI Authentication dialog box will be displayed. Use this dialog box to enter the credentials needed to connect to the cloud server.

If you do not have valid credentials to access the service, the Sign up! link can be used to create a new account on the CARIS Mira AI platform.

1. Enter your Email address and Password.

The Forgot? button in the Password field can be used to reset the password for the user account if necessary.

2. Click Login.

You will be connected to the CARIS Mira AI platform.

Note: By default, the login credentials for the service are remembered on the current computer once they have been entered. This eliminates the need to re‑enter your credentials the next time you start the application and connect to the service. These credentials can be changed, if needed, using the Set CARIS Mira AI Account credentials command. See Set CARIS Mira AI Account Credentials for more information.
