Delete a Vertex

Remove vertices from an edge. You can do this in the Display window or the Coordinates window.

Edit Line > Delete

In the Display window:

1. Select the feature.

2. Select the Edit Feature command.

3. Select the vertex or vertices to be deleted.

To select multiple vertices, press and hold <Ctrl> and click once on each vertex:

To select a range of vertices, press and hold <Shift> and click on two vertices. All vertices between the two will be selected.

4. Select the Delete a Vertex command.

 

The edge is redrawn using the remaining vertices.

In the Coordinates window:

1. Select the feature.

2. Select the Edit Feature command.

3. Select one or more rows in the Coordinates window.

4. Right-click and select Delete Point from the pop-up menu.

The edge is redrawn using the remaining vertices.
