In HIPS and SIPS, survey data is organized into projects. Imported and processed data is saved to a project directory. See PVDL Structure.
Before any survey data can be processed, a HIPS Vessel file (HVF) must exist. This file defines the offset configurations and associated error estimates for each of the sensors, which are necessary for creating final position and depth records for survey data. (See Create a New HVF.)
