Pop-up | Set as Snap/Grab Target (Layers window) |
If you set a layer as a snap/grab target, you can do the following:
• Use the edges of features on the target layer as a template by snapping to them while you are digitizing on the active layer.
• Copy the edged of features from the target layer to the active layer by grabbing them.
If the tool reads Use Current Layer, the active layer and the target layer are the same. If this is changed, the new target layer will be remembered until a different target is selected, regardless of the active layer.
Layers can be used as snap/grab targets only if they contain features that can be snapped to. Only these layers will be listed in the Snap/Grab Target list. If you select a non-snappable layer in the Layers window, the command will not be available.
Snapping is available for all HPD layers and CARIS, .000, and HOB backdrop files. Snapping is not available for image files.
