There are two kinds of profiles stored in the data model:
• Regular profiles that span the width of the model and are based on stations. For example, if there is a station at every 100 feet and a profile every two stations, a profile is created every 200 feet. The length of these profile lines is the width of the template at the corresponding station point.
• Profiles that are created from collections of points. This second type of profile is not tied to any station points.
