There are several digitizing options for panel extents.
Rectangle (2 Points) |
|---|
Digitize a rectangle by inserting a single point and another point diagonally opposite. The lines defining the panel area are interpolated from these two points. The following image shows an example of the Rectangle (2 Points) command.
|
Rectangle (3 Points) |
|---|
Digitize a rectangle by inserting three points. A rectangle is interpolated from these points. The first and second points form the bottom edge of the panel.
|
Closed Point-to-Point |
|---|
Digitize a polygon by inserting points at intervals. The Closed Point-to-Point line option can create non-rectangular panels.
The first two points align the panel with the sheet. When the panel is created, the first point is always the bottom left corner of the panel. When positioning non-rectangular panels on a sheet, the panel shape must be taken into account so that part of the panel does not extend over the sheet. |
Squared Line |
|---|
Digitize an area using orthogonal lines. The following image shows digitization using the Squared Line function.
The first two points set the baseline for the panel area. Orthogonal lines can be digitized using this option. The new point within 10° of the last point is snapped to a 90° angle where needed. |
