Divide a line or lines. A new line feature is created from each edge of the selected lines.
The new lines retain the feature acronym and attributes of the original line, but are assigned new feature object IDs.
This is useful for dividing lines before converting data from S-57 to other formats. Divided lines can easily be mapped, feature to feature.
If the original features are part of a database, they are moved to the Deleted Features layer. They must be certified before they are permanently deleted.
If the original features are part of a stand-alone file, they are permanently deleted.

Procedure
1. Select one or more lines.
2. Select the Divide by Edges command.
Each edge is converted to a line. The results are shown in the Output window.
