Export Coverage Metadata

Export the metadata from a coverage (CSAR files, BAG files, etc.) to an XML file.

The metadata exported from a CSAR dataset will be ISO 19115/19139 compliant and the resulting metadata file can be used in non-Teledyne CARISTM systems to provide information about the data.

A default file name will be generated for the resulting metadata file, using the name of the source coverage, in the format of: <coveragename>_metadata.xml

Procedure

1. Select a coverage to export in the Layers window.

2. Select the Export Coverage Metadata command.

3. Specify a name and location for the resulting file.

4. Click Save.

The metadata for the selected coverage is exported to the XML file in the selected location.
