The BDB 6 Migration Tools application is used to migrate data from a BDB Server 5 installation to be used in a BDB Server 6 installation. This would be done when upgrading the installation from BDB Server 5.x to BDB Server 6.x and the existing databases are to be retained. The migration tools consist of command line tools that can be used to migrate databases and catalogues from the original BDB Server installation.
A separate installer is used for the BDB 6 Migration Tools that adopts the environment variables of the current BDB Server 5.x installation if a custom environment.xml file is not specified.
The application is run in the form of a command prompt launched from the Windows Start menu.
