The Flicker command turns the active layer on and off very quickly so that differences between it and the other visible layers appear to flicker.

You can set the flicker interval in the Flicker toolbar. The interval is in seconds, to one decimal place. You can type the value or set it using the up and down arrows.

Procedure

1. Make a layer active.

2. Zoom in to an area of interest.

3. Select the Flicker command.

Parts of the Display window will flicker. You may have to zoom in further to see which feature is actually flickering.

4. [Optional] Adjust the flicker interval:

Click the up arrow to increase the interval and slow the flickering.

Click the down arrow to decrease the interval and speed the flickering up.

The rate of flickering changes.

5. Select Flicker again to turn off the command.
