Product Status

The product status is used to help manage ENC products in a database. The status must be assigned by a product manager.

Active: This is the default status of a product. An active product can be opened and edited, and will always be displayed in lists of available products.

Locked: Locked products cannot be edited or published, but can be opened as read-only. Locked products can be made active again if required.

Rejected: Rejecting an unwanted vector product is the first step towards deleting it permanently from an HPD database. Rejected vector products are not included in lists of available products. A rejected product can be restored but a deleted product cannot.

See Database Administration for information on deleting a product.

Retired: A retired product is no longer in use and is not listed with available products when selecting a product to open. Retired products can be made active again if required.

Select from the list.

Release Status

The Release Status option is only available if the product has been exported to S-57 format.

Not released: Indicates that the product has not yet been released and can still be edited and updated.

Released: Indicates that the product is released from the database. This prevents it from being accidentally re-opened for further editing and allows a new update product to be created.

Select from the list.

1. Change the status as required.

2. Click Save.

A confirmation message is displayed.

3. Click Yes.

You are returned to the main Product Management Centre. The changes you made are displayed in the table.
