Query features from an external data source.
At least one plugin must be available for this command to be enabled. For more information on opening a plugin, see Open via Source Plugin.
Procedure
1. Select a feature in the Display window.
2. Select the Query Sources command.
The coordinates of the selected feature are sent to an external plug-in. A Test Plugin layer with a sub layer called Query 1 is shown in the Layers window. The extents of the external data sources are shown in the Display window.
3. Select an external data source.
The data source is displayed in the Selection window.
4. Right-click on the selection and choose Retrieve Sources from the pop‑up menu.
A layer for the data is displayed in the Layers window
