The file devicemodels.xml lists the sonar models supported by HIPS and SIPS. The sonar information page on the CARIS web site, (http://www.caris.com/tpu/idx_sonar.cfm) lists the sonar specifics that are included in the devicemodels file. The file is located in the system directory.
This file can be modified, but users are cautioned that because of the important role of the devicemodels.xml file particularly in computing TPU, this should only be done by advanced users. (Contact CARIS Customer Support for assistance.)
