Law of the Sea (LOS) support files are included in CARIS applications to support the display of LOS data. These files are used to define features and attributes in the LOS data. The support files include a dictionary file and a profile file for each version of the catalogue that is available. CARIS applications currently support up to version 2.0 for LOS. The files included in the installation include:
• LOSDictionary_1_0.xml
• LOSDictionary_2_0.xml
• LOSProfile_1_0.xml
• LOSProfile_2_0.xml
The dictionary file defines the features and attributes for a product specification, such as LOS. The profile file defines the relationship between features and attributes for a product type. Multiple dictionary files can be associated with a product specification, but only one profile can be associated with it.
