The Filter option of the Export Surface to ASCII command allows you to filter out data you do not want included in the export, for example, interpolated nodes. Filtering is performed according to attribute values.
When launched, the Filter Attributes dialog box contains a list of the attributes that are present in the surface currently being exported.
An expression is used to tell the application which attributes to include or exclude. The expression will be displayed in the field below the list of Available attributes. The attributes must match the expression exactly in order to be filtered. For more information on filters, see Filter.
Procedure
1. Double-click an attribute in the Available Attributes list to add it to the equation field.
2. Click the operator buttons to add operators to the equation field.
3. Select the expression field then use the number keys to enter values.
4. Click OK.
The Filter Attributes dialog box closes and you are returned to the Export to ASCII dialog box with the filter populated in the Filter attributes field.
