Who should use this guide?
This guide is intended for users who want to understand or customize support files for CARIS1 HPD2.
What’s in this guide
This guide explains the structure and syntax of the support files in the HPD installation.
These files can be modified to meet the needs of your clients or you can create your own set of files. But the customized files must follow the same structure and use the same syntax as the files described in this document.
What’s not in this guide?
Since the S-57 standard is quite complex, no attempt is made here to provide an overview of it, or to discuss production issues. Other documents must be consulted for this purpose
Prerequisites?
To use this guide, you must already be familiar with the S-57 data model and your organization's production procedures, if applicable. It is also assumed that you are currently enrolled, or plan to enrol, in a CARIS HPD training course
