Coordinates

The Coordinates window displays coordinate information for points or line segments making up the geometry of a feature. See Coordinates Window for details on the information provided in this window.

When the Feature Editing module is enabled, this window can also be used to modify the geometry of a feature.

Procedure

To modify the geometry of a feature in the Coordinates window:

1. Select the feature you want to edit.

2. Select the Edit Mode command.

The information is displayed in the Coordinates window.

3. Select the row that defines the point you want to edit.

4. Double-click in the appropriate field and change the value.

To add a point to a line or edge:

1. Select the feature you want to edit.

2. Select the Edit Mode command.

3. Right-click a row in the Coordinates window and select Insert Points from the pop-up menu.

A blank row is inserted above the selected row.

4. Type the coordinates and other values for the new point.

To delete a point from the line or edge:

1. Select the feature you want to edit.

2. Select the Edit Mode command.

3. Right-click the row in the Coordinates window that defines the point to be removed.

4. Select Delete Points from the pop-up menu.
