Several of the LOS tools generate output in the form of a feature object. The settings for these objects are defined by the object and attribute acronyms available in the catalogue files. Because the objects generated from the tools often use similar settings for each run, templates can be created and used to automatically define the settings for the output.
The templates for the LOS tools are XML files created in the Feature Palette of the CARIS application. In order for these files to be accessible from the LOS tools, they must be located in the Tools folder that accompanies the LOS support files:
C:\Program Files\CARIS\<application>\<version>\system\
LOSConfig\system\Tools
