Export Definition

CARIS HPD Publications Module

Export an XML Schema Definition (XSD) file to define the schema of attributes in a list record. When the Update List Record command is used with the Import File Schema Definition option, the selected XSD is applied to that list record.

The attributes must be in the same order in both the XML file and the XSD file. If the order is different, a parsing error occurs.

The exported file is in XSD format.

Procedure

1. Select the Export Definition command.

A file browser opens, showing XSD files only.

2. Navigate to the folder with your XSD file, and select the file.

3. Enter a new filename if desired, and click Save.

The export file is saved in the selected folder.
