Digitize an arc by specifying the following:

A point on the circumference of the circle that defines the arc.

The centre of the circle that defines the arc.

A point that defines the length and direction of the arc.

Create the arc as follows:

1. Select the Arc [centre + 2 points] command.

2. Click to define a point on the circumference (1).

3. Click on the centre of the circle (2).

These two points define the radius of the circle.

4. Press and hold the left mouse button.

5. Drag the pointer to an appropriate length and direction for the arc (3.).

6. Release the mouse button.

The new arc is created.

This arc is a standalone feature and cannot be added as part of another line type.

1. Choose the Arc [2 points + direction] command.

2. Click at the start point of the arc (1).

3. Click at the end point of the arc (2).

4. Press and hold the left mouse button.

5. Drag the pointer until the arc is the appropriate shape and length.

This point represents the centre point and moving it changes the shape of the arc, but not the position of the first two points. Note that the arc is restricted to one side of the first two points. The side on which the arc is placed depends on the direction of the first two points.

6. Release the mouse button (3).

The arc is created.
