Delete Section

CARIS HPD Publications Module

Delete a publication or catalogue component.

The Delete command is applied according to certification status:

• Pending notices or publication components (sections, groups, list records, etc) with a status of Under Construction are removed.

• Pending notices or publication components that are certified or submitted for verification are give a status of Deletion Not Verified.

• Catalogue components (objects, attributes, relations etc) are removed.

A publication or section cannot be deleted until all sub-components are also deleted. For example, a chart notice cannot be deleted until all its instructions are deleted.

Procedure

1. Select a section in the Object Browser window.

2. Select the Delete Section command.

A message box prompts you to confirm the deletion.

3. Click OK.

The section is either removed from Publications Module or its certification status is set to Deletion Not Verified.

Three certification status options are now available if set to Deletion Not Verified:

• Deletion Accepted

• Deletion Rejected.

• Deletion Verified.

These status options can be selected using the verification status commands.

If the Deletion Verified is selected, the section is removed.
