Feature Mapping

Map features and attributes from one data format to another, or within the same format, using a mapping rule file. Rule files are .xml files that contain mapping information specific to a data format(s).

The rule files available in the Rule File list will depend on two things:

• The Rules setting in Tools > Options, which must be populated with the location of a directory containing rule files. Only files in this location will be displayed in the drop‑down list.

• The format of the source data. Only files compatible with the data format will be displayed.

1. Enable Feature Mapping.

2. Select a mapping file from the Rule File list.

Apply Attribute Shifts

Increase or decrease depth or height values by applying a shift value. Values can be negative or positive:

• Depth: Positive values increase the depth; negative values decrease the depth.

• Height: Positive values increase the height; negative values decrease the height.

The shift is applied to attributes with sounding or vertical datum types:

• Sounding: DRVAL1, DRVAL2, VALDCO, VALSOU

• Vertical: ELEVAT, HEIGHT, VERCCL, VERCLR, VERCOP, VERCSA

1. Enable Apply Attribute Shifts.

2. Type the shift value in metres in Depth or Height or both.
