The New Publication tool generates reports for data in CARIS applications. These reports are often specific to a type of data and require the same information about a data type each time a report is generated. To streamline this process, templates can be created containing fields that are relevant to each data type. When a template is opened in the Publication tool, values can be defined for each field using the current data in the application.
The two reports that are most common to EAM are shoal publications and volume reports publications. For this reason, sample templates are provided for each.
• shoal_publication_template.rpx: This is a publication template with preset values for publishing shoal information.
• volume_publication_template.rpx: This is a publication template with preset values for publishing volume reports. The volume_results.xml file, also found in the Sample Data folder, is used to prepare this default template.
