Select Features Inside Selected Areas

This command has been replaced by the Select by Geometry Comparison command and will be removed from the application in BASE Editor 5.4.0/HIPS 11.3.0.

 

Menu

Select > Features By > Inside Selected Areas

Tool

Select all features that are fully inside a selected area feature, such as a land area or depth area.

• Select by Superselected Buffer

• Select by Coordinate Buffer

• Centre on Superselection

• Centre on Selection

• Remove Others from Selection

• Remove Subselection

Procedure

1. Make a layer active.

2. Select one or more areas.

3. Select the Select Features Inside Areas command.

A new selection is created. It contains all features that are fully inside the selected area.
