Select features individually or within a user-defined rectangular area in the Display window.

Procedure

1. Make a layer active.

2. Select the Select by Range command.

3. Press and hold the left mouse button and drag to define a rectangular area.

To select a range of specific features:

1. Click to select a single feature.

2. <Shift+click> to add another feature to the selection.

3. Repeat to add multiple features.
