Replace Areas

Replace multiple areas with a single new area. The original areas are deleted. The original areas must share at least one common boundary and must not overlap.

You must define an acronym and attributes for the new area.

Procedure

1. Select two or more area features.

2. Select the Replace Areas command.

3. Select an acronym and set any necessary attributes as described in Create.

4. Click OK.

The selected areas are replaced by a single area.

Information is displayed in the Output window.
