Store multiple soundings with identical attribute values as a single sounding group. Sounding groups provide more efficient storage of sounding data.
This command automatically creates sounding groups from each set of sounding features that have the same attribute values.
Sounding groups are created for two or more soundings. For soundings to be grouped, the selected individual soundings must meet the following conditions:
• The soundings must be separate sounding features and not part of an existing sounding group.
• The soundings must have the same feature and spatial attribute values.
• The soundings must have a certification status of Verified (both features and attributes).
Procedure: Group all soundings
To group all soundings:
1. Select the Group All Soundings command.
All soundings are checked and groups are created based on the above rules. A message in the Output window tells you how many sounding groups were created. A message is also displayed if a sounding has not been verified.
Procedure: Group selected soundings
To group selected soundings:
1. Select the soundings that you want to group.
2. Choose the Group Selected Soundings command.
The selected soundings are grouped.
