Switch the application to Pan mode. In this mode, the left-mouse button is used to move the display in the active view according to the distance and direction that the cursor is dragged. The arrow keys on the keyboard can also be used to move the display in the active view by a preset amount. The preset amount is a percentage of the view and is set using the Options command.

Procedure: Mouse
1. Select the Pan Mode command.
2. Press and hold the left or middle mouse button.
The cursor changes (
).
3. Drag the cursor across the relevant view window.
4. Release the mouse button.
The view is adjusted.
Procedure: Preset amount
1. Select the Pan Mode command.
2. Click in a view window to make that view active.
3. Press the relevant arrow key on the keyboard.
The view shifts in the selected direction by the preset amount.
4. Continue pressing the arrow key(s) until the view if focused as needed.
