The bdbattributetransform.xsl file is used to map metadata attributes when loading surfaces into a database that have been exported from an older database.
Exporting a surface causes its metadata to be saved to an object.xml file. This metadata is mapped according to the schema of the database. Older databases use a different schema than databases created in Bathy DataBASE Server 4.0 and later. If you are uploading a surface to a database that was exported from an older database, the attributes will not map properly on their own. This file maps the metadata to the new schema, automatically populating the metadata when the surface is uploaded.
This file is found in the following directory:
C:\Program Files\CARIS\BASE Editor\<version>\modules\BASE Manager\support
This location is defined by the Database Transform XSLT option in the Files and Folders category of Options.
Other than the file’s location, you should not edit this file, it is for system use only. Editing the file may result in errors when attempting to display your surfaces.
