Set Initial Cover from Current View

Save the extents of the active Display window as the home extents of a project. This is currently used as the extents when the project is opened. Each time the project is opened, the display will default to these extents unless you have a project user (.puser) file; the last used extents in the puser file override the initial extents in a project file. See Save Project As for more information on the puser file.

This is useful for users that normally work with data from a single area or region.

Procedure

1. Use the pan and zoom controls to adjust the view in the Display window to the desired extents.

2. Select the Set Initial Cover from Current View command.

The view extents are saved to the project file.
