Menu | Database > Set Online > Superselection/ |
Database objects have a status of online or offline. This status can be changed manually or it may be changed automatically by the application.
A user may choose to manually set an object to offline, for example, while work on a database object is still in progress, signalling to other users that the work is incomplete. When the work is complete, the status would then be changed to online.
The application may automatically set an object to offline, for example, if the creation procedure did not complete successfully. The creation procedure can be stopped by the user, or by the application if an error occurs.
Objects with a status of offline are only available from the Offline layer. Offline objects can be drawn, selected, deleted, or set to online, but the object itself cannot be edited.
Procedure
1. Select a database object layer in the Layers window.
2. Select one or more database objects in the Display window.
3. Select the appropriate Set Offline or Set Online command based on the number of objects selected.
The status is changed for the selected objects. If they were changed to offline, they are now only accessible from the Offline layer.
