This tool is used to create a new point in a reference model where two lines intersect. If you want to generate points from intersections on layers that are not in the reference model, you first need to import those lines into the model.
For more information on importing lines, see New Line From a Superselection.
1. In the Layers window, select the lines layer.
2. Use one of the selection tools (Select By Range or Select By Lasso) to select two intersecting lines.
For information on using selection tools, see the Select Menu chapter in the CARIS BASE Editor Reference Guide.
3. Select the (New Feature, Point) From Line Intersections command.
Menu | Model > New Feature > Point > From Line Intersections |
A message is displayed in the Output window showing the start and stop times of the procedure. The new point is drawn in the Display window.

Points can be modified using the Model Feature window if desired. See Modify a Point for more information.
