The csar_attribute_mapping.xsl file is an attribute mapping table file. Mapping tables are used to automatically populate surfac object attributes directly from CSAR metadata or other data formats, such as BAG.
Mapping tables are saved in the format of a style sheet with an extension of XML, XSL or XSLT. Each file is specific to a file format. The csar_attribute_mapping.xsl file is used by BDB Server by default, which is specific to CSAR data.
The Download Attribute Mapping command in the BDB Server Administration Tools allows you to download an attribute mapping table file that can be editing and uploaded with new settings. This file allows you to skip the step of downloading by editing or copying/editing this local file and then uploading it.
