New Lines from a Selection

Import line or polygon geometries from selected features as reference model lines.

1. Select a feature layer in the Layers window.

2. Select the features to be imported (for example, contours) in the Display window.

3. Select the (New Feature, Line) Selection command.

Each segment of the selected features is imported as a reference model line and a message is displayed in the Output window. The new lines are added to the Lines group in the Model window. The default naming convention for creating lines is used.
