BASE Manager : Commands : Remove Survey-Surface Relationships

Remove Survey-Surface Relationships

The Remove Survey-Surface Relationship command removes master/slave relationships from selected survey and surfac objects in a database. This function will remove all survey-surface relationships associated with the selected objects. This can include relationships for objects not in the selection, as long as one of the related objects is selected.

After removing the survey-surface relationship from a survey, that survey can be deleted without the necessity of also deleting the related surfac objects. Survey objects are deleted using the regular Delete command.

To enable this command, you must have at least one survey OR one surfac object selected.

To remove a survey-surface relationship:

1. Connect to a database.

2. Select the relevant database query layer in the Layers window.

3. Select the survey or surfac object of the relationship you want to remove.

Review the relationships associated with the selected objects. If a large number of objects are selected, an important relationship could be deleted by accident. Also, when deleting multiple relationships in a single action, it may be difficult to recover them, if necessary.

4. Select the Remove Survey-Surface Relationship command.

A message will be displayed asking you to confirm that you wish to remove the relationships.

5. To continue, click OK; to abort, click Cancel.

The Output window will display messages indicating which objects had relationships broken. If you view the Relations window, no relationships present for the selected objects.
