The dbqueries.dbq file contains the queries that have been created in BASE Manager.
A query controls the surface and survey objects that are displayed from a database based on rule settings. When a user creates a query, the rule settings for that query are saved to this file. See New Query for more information on queries.
When a user connects to a node manager from BASE Manager, this file populates the following locations with the available queries:
• the Query list in the Login dialog box,
• the list of available queries in the Database menu, and
• the queries listed in the Queries dialog box.
All queries found in this list are available in all instances, regardless of the database or user credentials specified.
This file is found in the following directory:
C:\ProgramData\CARIS\BASE Editor\<version>\System
This location is defined by the Database Query option in the Files and Folders category of Options. If you move this file, ensure that you update this setting, otherwise your queries will not be available in BASE Manager.
Deleting this file will also cause your queries to no longer be available. You may consider creating a backup of this file if your queries are of high importance. |
