Create a new template by applying a cross-section to an alignment or by using existing surfaces.
A template is a collection of non-overlapping surfaces with specified orientations and elevations. Most operations in the Engineering Analysis Module operate on a template, as it describes a 3D model of the area.
To create a template, select one of the following methods:
• Apply a cross-section to a section of an alignment. This automatically creates all the necessary surfaces with appropriate elevations (for more information, see New Template from a Cross-Section).
• Use existing surfaces (for more information, see New Template from Existing Surfaces).
