Create a new alignment by digitizing points or by using existing alignments.
Points used to define alignments must be in reference to the origin (i.e., ground units), not in reference to other alignments (i.e., chains and offsets). |
If multiple points are digitized to create the alignment, the result will be a compound alignment, comprised of individual alignments for each section between points. Similarly, if multiple alignments are selected as sources for the new alignment, the result will be a compound alignment. For more background information on alignments see Alignments.
