Using the New Point command, you can add a new point to a reference model. A variety of methods are available for creating points, including using existing features (for example, from a line intersection).
Points can be based on real-world coordinates using ground units or on an alignment using chains and offsets.
It is recommended that you open a background map to use as a visual reference for placing points and building reference model features (see the CARIS BASE Editor Reference Guide for information on the File > Open command).
