Volume results can be saved to a text file in addition to the XML file so the results can be viewed using multiple applications. This file defaults to the Temp folder the first time the command is run.
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp
If you select a different directory, that directory will be used the next time you run the command.
To export volume results to a text file:
1. [Optional] Modify the values in the File details fields before exporting the data.
2. In the top portion of the Volume Results dialog box, click Export to text file.
A Save dialog box is displayed.
3. Locate the directory where you want to save the file.
4. Type a File name.
5. Click Save.
You are returned to the Volume Results dialog box.
6. Click Close to close the dialog box.
You can now open the volume results in any application that supports text (TXT) format files.
You can also publish the volume results using a publication template. See the Publication topic in the CARIS BASE Editor Reference Guide for more information.
