The Delete command can be used to delete Survey and Surfac objects from a database. Doing this will move the deleted object to the Recycle Bin layer. From here it will need to be deleted again to be completely removed from the database. For more information on this process, see Database Recycle Bin.
To delete a database object:
1. Select the relevant database query layer in the Layers window.
2. In the Display window, select the survey or surfac object(s) that you want to delete.
3. Select the (Delete) Superselection or Selection command.
Menu | Edit > Delete > Superselection/Selection |
Pop-up | Delete > Superselection/Selection (Selection window) |
A confirmation message will be displayed.
4. Click Yes to delete the selected object(s).
5. Save the changes to the database.
The selected object(s) is moved to the Recycle Bin layer. An entry will be made in the Database log identifying the object that was deleted, when it was deleted and who performed the deletion.
Deleted database objects can be recovered using the Restore Selection command in the Recycle Bin layer. See Restore Objects to the Database for more information. |
