FilesystemTable.bfs

The FilesystemTable.bfs file controls the node locations available for storing databases.

By default, databases created in the Administration Tools are saved to the "Root" node location defined during installation, which is simply the install directory of the application. To store and/or backup databases in different locations, you must define the locations using the Bathy Node Location Editor.

The Bathy Node Location Editor tool is accessed through the Server Setup Utility, which can only be started if the CARIS Bathy DataBASE Node Manager <version> service is stopped. Once the Editor is launched, you can add, remove or edit node locations as desired. Any changes made to the node locations are saved to this file.

When a database is created, this file will be called by the Administration Tools to provide the user with the available locations in which to save and backup their database.

This file is also called if a user attempts to change the Backup Location property of a database after it has been created. Clicking the Browse button (...) will launch the Available Directories dialog box, which is populated by the filesystemtable.bfs file.

The location of this file is defined in the Environment Settings tab of the Administration Tools.
