If you are using the HPD Server Utility with an Oracle database, the Oracle client must be installed. If you are using PostgreSQL, this is included in the HPD installation.
CARIS HPD Server programs, scripts and APIs do not need to be run on the same computer as the database, but a scripting tool such as sqlplus or plusql is required.
